Comma Sense Proofreading is run by Sue Frisbee, a professional proofreader with a passion for language and education, bringing over thirty-five years of dedicated experience in education to my proofreading services.

As a retired teacher specializing in the education of the deaf and hard of hearing, I have developed an exceptional eye for detail and a deep understanding of how language works across different communication styles. With over twenty years of experience in teaching language arts, I have developed comprehensive expertise in grammar, syntax, and writing mechanics that I now apply to help clients achieve clear, professional communication.

Throughout my career in education, I worked as a consultant with families navigating the challenges of hearing loss in children, developing educational materials and communication strategies that required absolute precision and clarity. This experience taught me that every word matters and that clear, accessible writing can make a profound difference in people’s lives.

My active involvement in the Deaf community has deepened my appreciation for inclusive communication and the importance of making written content accessible to diverse audiences. This perspective enhances my ability to help clients create documents that communicate effectively with all readers.

With formal training in the Chicago Manual of Style and decades of experience reviewing educational materials, academic content, and family communication resources, I bring both technical expertise and genuine care to every proofreading project. My background has instilled in me the patience, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence that ensures your documents will be polished, professional, and error-free.

Whether you’re working on academic papers, business communications, educational materials, or personal projects, I understand the importance of clear, precise writing and am dedicated to helping you achieve your communication goals.
